Winemakers Notes
The 2006 provides another consistent example of why Howell Mountain Zinfandel attracts such a devoted following. All the components were so good early that we blended it after only a year in barrel. The old vines once again add the aromatics and acid spine while the younger vines provide mid-palette weight and richness.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate Tasting Notes

"A classic mountain Zinfandel revealing plenty of minerality, spice, herb, and pepper notes along with copious quantities of black raspberry and kirsch fruit. Full-bodied and with admirable grip and focus, and no hard edges."
