Our Grenache comes entirely from our estate property located at 2,200 feet in elevation. Outpost grapes are harvested late in the season - by hand, at dawn - to preserve the full intensity and distinctive spicy character of the mountain fruit. Wines are neither fined or filtered allowing for the full expression of the vintages' potential.
Tasting Notes
"Outpost's 2022 Grenache—sourced from a single 1.3-acre block planted in 2001 to a selection from John Alban's Edna Valley vineyard—offers up extraordinary aromas of florals, dried roses, raspberry and strawberry hard candy. The exotic aromatics are juxtaposed with dense, compact tannins that are reminiscent of fresh cranberries, dried tarragon, hibiscus and grapefruit pith." - The Team at Outpost, Previous Vintage Score, 94 Points
